Things Learned in My First Week at Belle Aire in the Boro

  • Tennessee has friendly and welcoming people.
  • Waiting at a store is made easier when a Journey song is playing.
  • People in Tennessee (unlike Texas) have accents.
  • Wal-mart is the same, everywhere.
  • Life is a marathon, not a sprint.
  • My wife is even more amazing than I knew.
  • People are the same, everywhere.
  • Some parts of this great country are not flat. Hills exist.
  • God still answers prayer.
  • Needs are the same, everywhere.
  • Good BBQ is debated as much as politics.
  • Furniture is expensive.
  • One street can have two names.
  • Making new friends is one of life’s great joys.
  • Lines are crazy long at Tennessee Chick-Fil-A’s, too.
  • Coffee and air conditioning and Apple Maps and wifi are essentials.
  • Jesus is the same, everywhere.
